Drivers Keep America Moving
A couple of weeks ago, my daughter was in Wal-Mart. According to the story she told me, she noticed a TNi truck in the parking lot when she pulled in. She went inside to start getting the items on the list that my wife had made out for her.
I’m sure she made a stop in the make-up section as she often does when she is using our credit card instead of hers, and about 10 minutes into shopping, she saw a man with a dark blue TNi hat on.
Usually, my daughter is not this bold, but she went up to him, introduced herself, and mentioned that her dad was the Terminal Manager in Texarkana and he replied that he knew me.
Not long after that, she excused herself to finish up her shopping, but only after she shook his hand and told him thank you for the work that he does and that she understands how much a Driver sacrifices in order to keep us stocked up with the supplies we need.
Unfortunately, she didn’t think to get the Driver’s name, nor did she notice the truck number, but I was curious what his reaction to her comment was, and she said, “Daddy, he acted a bit surprised, stumbled a bit in his response and said, ‘Thank you for that and you’re welcome!”
Too many times, the fact that you guys & gals hold one of the most important jobs on the planet goes unnoticed. I am exceptionally proud that, not only my daughter recognizes it, but my wife and son do also.
For almost a decade, I mashed the gas and hauled freight alongside y’all. I
remember the highs and the lows, but I am here to tell you, I truly
appreciate everything you do daily to ensure my daughter can blow up my
credit card on a shade of red lipstick that I will most likely not
approve of.
After almost 30 years in Logistics, it’s great to be a part of a team that is as Driver oriented as TNi! We appreciate all of you!
So, from the bottom of our hearts, my family and I, and all of Tri-National wants to say a hearty THANK YOU for the difficult job you do day in and day out!
KEEP ON TRUCKING!!
