Tri-National Named a 2023 Top Workplace for Women in Trucking
Tri-National, a leading transportation and logistics provider, has been named a 2023 Top Workplace for Women in Transportation by The Women in Trucking Association (WIT). This award recognizes companies that are committed to creating a workplace where women thrive in leadership roles.
Tri-National is proud to be a leader in the trucking industry when it comes to diversity and inclusion. The company has a long history of supporting women in the workplace, and is committed to providing them with the opportunities and resources they need to succeed. This is the sixth consecutive year that Tri-National has been named a Top Company for Women to Work for in Transportation.
"We are honored to be named a 2023 Top Workplace for Women in Trucking and thankful for all that our employees do to keep TNi moving forward," said Chuck, TNi’s Senior Vice President. Tri-National is looking forward to participating in WIT events in the years to come.”
Trucking is traditionally a male-dominated profession, but TNi is committed to creating a women-friendly workplace for transportation professionals. Tri-National offers a variety of resources and programs to support women in the workplace, such as flexible work arrangements, training and opportunities to grow a career in trucking.
“Tri-National is to be commended for earning recognition as a 2023 Top Company for Women to Work For in Transportation by Redefining the Road, the official magazine for the Women in Trucking Association,” said Brian Everett, Group Publisher and Editorial Director of Redefining the Road Magazine. “Organizations recognized on this impressive list have proven they are supportive of gender diversity by accommodating family and work balance; offering competitive compensation, benefits, and professional growth; and providing career advancement opportunities. TNi is commended for earning this award.”
Many women say they want employers with a corporate culture supportive of gender diversity, flexible hours and work requirements to accommodate family and life balance, competitive compensation and benefits, training and continued professional development, and career advancement opportunities. Because of this, the “Top Companies for Women to Work For in Transportation” recognition program was launched using these as primary criteria for companies earning the award.
Identifying the companies on this list involves a two-step process, said Everett. First, nominations of the companies are received and carefully reviewed to ensure they qualify by meeting a minimum threshold of qualifications. Then the final ballot of companies is voted on by individuals in the industry. This is the sixth year of this prestigious recognition program and it garnered more than 27,000 votes to identify the final companies named to the list. The momentum of this program has continued to accelerate since it was first launched.
